Justification

This species is known from only a single collection, made in Brazil in March 2007. There appears to be a deficiency in information regarding the potential threats to this species, as well as its geographic distribution, and as such, until further research is carried out to address these deficiencies, it remains difficult to assess the current population trends of this species. It is therefore listed as Data Deficient until new information arises.

Geographic range

This species is known from only a single locality in Brazil, at Ramal Pau Rosa in Amazonas north of Manaus, collected in March 2007 (Wartchow et al. 2012). This type specimen is the only specimen known of this species.

Population and Trends

It is unknown to what extent the population may be threatened, due to a deficiency in information regarding the geographic distribution of this species. Its population trend is therefore unknown until further information arises.

This species is known to grow on soil in the Amazon rainforest.
