Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

Rare but widely distributed species in Spain; additional record from Corsica. eDNA data indicates a wider distribution.
Small population but status and trends are currently unknown. DD is suggested.


Geographic range

Fruitbodies recorded in Spain, France (mainland? and Corsica). Additional eDNA records from Europe (Italy, Russian Federation), Africa (Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Cameroon), Asia (India, Oman). 
In Spain rare but wide-spread.


Population and Trends

A small total population (maximum 15 known localities with fruitbodies) in the western Mediterranean area. eDNA data indicate a wider distribution.
Population trends currently unknown.

Habitat and Ecology

More or less disturbed anthropogenic places in dry Mediterraneran sclerophyllous/semi-deciduous shrub- and woodland habitats (Spain).
On Corsica (France) in somewhat disturbed sandy grassland with naked sandy patches in pine woodland near sea shore.
