Assessment Notes

Justification

Hoehnelogaster microsporus is a gasteroid fungus described in 1926, from Java, Indonesia. It has not been recorded since and has a potentially unresolved taxonomic status. It is assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Taxonomic notes

Hoehnelogaster microsporus, originally microspora, is the only species in the monotypic genus Hoehnelogaster. However, although this taxon is currently listed as accepted in Index Fungorum, its validity has been called into question in the past and suggested as a synonym of Corditubera microspora. (Zeller, 1948 and Smith and Schmull, 2011)
