Taxonomic notes
Entoloma austroriseum was described in 2007. It is a distinctive macroscopically, due to the strikingly pink pileus with darker centre and the pale pink stipe with white basal mycelium.

Geographic range
Found in Tasmania and Victoria in Australia. In Tasmania, known from only two sites - Collinsvale (multiple collections on more than 10 occasions), near Hobart and Cam Falls (one collection), south of Burnie. In Victoria, known from one site in the Gembrook area, east of Melbourne.
