Assessment Notes
Justification
This species is known only from two collections, made in the same location in India. Little is known regarding the habitat preferences of this species, but this species is known to grow on the soil beneath
Cedrus deodara. Research into this species' present distribution, threats and habitat preferences is required in order to assess the current population trends of this species, and so until such research is carried out, this species is listed as Data Deficient.
Geographic range
This species is known from two collections made in subsequent years in Bharsar forest, Uttarakhand, India at an altitude of 2,350m (Deepika
et al. 2013).
Population and Trends
It can be gregarious or found in dense clumps (Deepika et al. 2013). The overall population size and trend, however, are uncertain.
Population Trend: unknown
Habitat and Ecology
This species grows on soil under
Cedrus deodara (Deepika
et al. 2013).
Threats
There don't appear to be any records in literature of this species or its habitat being significantly threatened, but further information is required.
Conservation Actions
Further research into this species' present distribution, specific habitat preferences, and potential unseen threats is required in order to accurately assess this species.
