Mushroom, Bracket and PuffballSidera vulgaris is phylogenetically close to S. vesiculosa and can be distinguished by the dimitic hyphal system. In addition, S. vulgaris has capitate hyphal ends and “halocystidia” in tube mouths (Niemelä & Dai 1997, Du et al. 2019).
The species in known in 29 countries, mostly reported to UK, Sweden and Norway.
There are about 820 records of this species in GBIF, and only two of them in Brazil.
