Taxonomic notes
Sidera vulgaris is phylogenetically close to S. vesiculosa and can be distinguished by the dimitic hyphal system. In addition, S. vulgaris has capitate hyphal ends and “halocystidia” in tube mouths (Niemelä & Dai 1997, Du et al. 2019).
