Bolivia and Argentina
We could suspect a population reduction as a consequence of the high rates of deforestation reported in most of the estimated extent of occurrence, which negatively affects habitat quality. Most of the known occurrences for the species were reported outside protected areas so the risk might be higher.
Population Trend: Decreasing
Corticolous species, growing on trees in xerophytic forests and savannas in Dry and Humid Chaco.
It is known that most of the estimated extent of occurrence area of the species has undergone an important deforestation of native forests as a consequence of land-use changes for more than a century, which has been expanding rapidly over the past 15 years (Baumann et al. 2016). As a consequence, population size could be declining.
