This species is found over a very broad area, and is common with multiple species of Nothofagaceae host trees. It is assessed as Least Concern.
Taxonomic notes
The basionym for this species is
Thaxterogaster carneoroseus E. Horak (Horak 1965). The species was transferred to the genus
Cortinarius by Peintner
et al. (2002).
Geographic range
This species is found over a very broad area in Patagonia, where
Nothofagus species occur.
Population and Trends
This species is common with multiple species of Nothofagaceae host trees across a wide geographic area and in multiple forest types.
