This species is known by its pale greenish and smooth thallus, lirelliform and immersed ascomata, initially rounded, becoming elongate and irregular in outline. 8- ascospores per ascus, 7-13 transversely septate, 30-60 × 7-10 µm (Caceres, 2007, Lucking and Rivas Plata, 2008).
