Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

A xerothermophilous “desert fungus” with a wide world distribution.
Stronghold in dry areas of western USA. Regularly observed in USA and Australia. Records from India, Kuweit and Kazakhstan date back to the 20th century. Presumably overlooked, underrecorded, or not searched for in these areas. 

Population trend unclear.
