Taxonomic notes

Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

An rare lichen that in Europe seems to be confined to bark of old Quercus robur in semi-open forests in a few areas with long continuity of old veteran trees. Small distribution area and known from few countries (extinct in at least three out of a handful countries with known occurences). Confined to an increasingly rare and threatened habitat.

Also found in other parts of the World with different ecology which (if same species) might indicate that not Globally threatened.
