Taxonomic notes

This species is known by its smooth thallus, perithecia with a white to pale grey disc expansion, and muriform ascospores.

There are 32 records distributed in seven different countries, and in Brazil, this species is encountered only remnants of tropical rainforest that remains suffering deforestation, this species might be considered as Near Threatened.

This is species is known in 7 countries. In Brazil, seven occurrences to this species are known, located in the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast of Brazil according to GBIF database.


Population and Trends

There are 32 records in GBIF database, distributed in Costa Rica (15 records), Brazil (7 records),  Australia and Colombia (3 records each), and the other occurrences are distributed in small percentages.
