Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

Because it has been only registered to Sonora and Aguascalientes states in Mexico, therefore it is considered Endemic. Also, it is restricted to subtropical shrubland, and this ecosystem has been severely affected by human activities in Aguascalientes state, diminishing the representation of this vegetation type in the state.
