Singeromyces ferrugineus is a hypogeous species described from Argentina in 1966. No further records or information are available so it is assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Taxonomic notes

This is the only species in the Singeromyces genus (Species Fungorum 2023).

Geographic range

It was described from Argentina.

Singeromyces ferrugineus is a gasteroid, hypogeal species, possibly ectomycorrhizal, found growing under Nothofagus pumilio (Watling 2008, Species Fungorum 2023).
