The range will likely drop as urban development picks up.
Currently common within Washington state, California and Oregon. Not seen elsewhere. Stable but could potentially go into decline because of its range being exclusively the Pacific Northwest. The Burke says is least concern but does not have stable information on the range.
Population Trend: Uncertain
Seen in lawns near forested areas and in forested areas. Generally in urban/distturbed settings
Lack of widespread range is the biggest threat to this species as is urban development. Populations might go into decline and likely have already.
Protecting its forest habitat is the best way to conserve this species.
A better range map would be helpful. Inaturalist has a general map but it is not that good due to the lack of experts in this species.
Likely poisonous so there is no use or trade of this mushroom
