Justification

Endogonopsis sacramentarum was described from India in 1966, but there have been no records of it since and questions have been raised about the validity of this taxon. Therefore, the species is assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Taxonomic notes

Endogonopsis sacramentarum is the type species of the monotypic genus Endogonopsis. There are no synonyms listed in Index Fungorum, but Watling (2008) questions whether this species may refer to immature and unexpanded specimens of the genus Astraeus.

Geographic range

This species has only been documented in India.

Given that there are no documented observations of this species since its description in 1966, it is not possible to estimate the current population size and trends.
