Assessment Notes

Justification

The species Endogonopsis sacramentarum was described for India in 1966, but there have been no records of it since and questions have been raised about the validity of this taxon. Therefore, the species is assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Taxonomic notes

Endogonopsis sacramentarum is the type species of the monotypic genus Endogonopsis. There are no synonyms listed in Index Fungorum, but Watling (2008) questions whether this species may refer to immature and unexpanded specimens of the genus Astraeus.
