Taxonomic notes

Peridium broad-obconic, 4–6 mm high and 4–6 mm wide at the mouth; outer surface of peridium not plicate, yellow, shaggy, hairs long, yellowish; inner surface not plicate, silver to light brown, shiny. Peridioles ellipsoid, circular to triangular in outline, shiny grey, 1.75–2.0 mm diam., cortex one-layered with tunica. Basidiospores subglobose to ovoid, some gutuloid, colourless, 8–10 × 5–6 μm, moderately thinwalled.
