Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

Species with a wide distribution in nemoral -hemiboreal-boreal woodland. Also in conifer plantations.  No immediate threats. Suggested as LC


Geographic range

Widely distributed in the northern hemisphere; Eurasia, mainly in boreal-montane regions. Records from S. America to be confirmed.


Population and Trends

Wide distribution in Eurasia, overlooked/underrecorded due to morphological similarities with related species.
Frequent species in boreal woodland of Fennoscandia (also plantations)

Populations trend seemingly stable.

Habitat and Ecology

Deciduous and coniferous woodland in the nemoral-boreal zones; occasionally also in the arrctic-alpine vegetation. Often on disturbed soil such as roadsides, sometimes in Picea plantations.
