Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

Although with a small population (100 records on GBIF; AOO 124.000 km2,  its preference for anthropogenous habitats makes it less vulberable. LC? or VU (D1)?


Geographic range

N. & S. America and Eurasia, sacttered records in Morocco and e-DNA-records from India.


Population and Trends

Currently with 100 records on GBIF database, but few recent reports. Although with a small population its preference for anthopogenous habitats makes it less vulberable. Few observations during the last 20 years.

Estimated number of m. indivduals/locality: 2 - total 400

According to eg Kreisel 2001 this species may have been introduced to Europe from N. America.

Population Trend: Uncertain


Habitat and Ecology

Saprotrophic species in anthropogenous habitats ie. urban parks and gardens (Europe). A few records are from natural habitats (a riparian forest in southern Russia, dry sandy grassland with scattered pines in southern Sweden. In North America the the records are both from natural forest habitats but also from anthropogenous sites.
Occurrences are ephemeral, showing fruitbodies for one or two consequtive seasons only.
