Saprotrophic species in anthropogenous habitats ie. urban parks and gardens (Europe). A few records are from natural habitats (a riparian forest in southern Russia, dry sandy grassland with scattered pines in southern Sweden. In North America the the records are both from natural forest habitats but also from anthropogenous sites.
Occurrences are ephemeral, showing fruitbodies for one or two consequtive seasons only.
