On decomposing wood near the soil of the forest.
Due to the intense tourism activity around the Corcovado hills the local where the species was collected is very anthropized and, therefore, threatened. Also, the Atlantic Forest is among one of the most threatened forests in the world and only ca. 12% of its original size is left (SOS Mata Atlântica).
The Tijuca Forest, where the Corcovado hill is located is a National Park. It is important that the maintenance and protection of the park continues to be inforced and conservation plans grow in the area.
More collections and taxonomic studies on the group. The species belongs to a not very well known family that has not been studied in Brazil.
