Assessment Notes
Justification
There is very limited information available for
Cantharellus preslii, and it is not currently possible to accurately assess its extinction risk. Therefore,
C. preslii is assessed as Data Deficient.
Taxonomic notes
This species is unlikely to be a
Cantharellus, and is more likely to be a clitocyboid or omphalinoid agaric (I. Olariaga Ibarguren pers. comm. 2022).
Geographic range
This species was collected from near to Tehov, in what is now Czechia (Velenovský 1920).

There are no data with which to accurately estimate the population size and trend.
Population Trend: Unknown
Habitat and Ecology
It has been collected from large mosses in a forest meadow with
Spiranthes autumnalis (=
S. spiralis; POWO 2023) (Velenovský 1920).
Threats
Further information is required before an accurate assessment of the threats this species may face can be made.
Conservation Actions
Further research is required to get a clearer indication of the taxonomic placement of this species, as well as to get a clearer idea of its full distribution. This would then also help to get an estimate of the overall population size and trend, as well as identifying any key threats.
Use and Trade
There is no use/trade information.
