Assessment Notes
Justification
Since the description of
Canthrellus ludmilae there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is limited information available and with a lack of information on the habitat and ecology of the species, it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is therefore assessed as Data Deficient.
Taxonomic notes
It is likely not to be a
Cantharellus due to its globose spores and occurrence in dry pastures (see e.g. Velenovský 1939, I. Olariaga Ibarguren
in litt. 2022).
Geographic range
The specific range of this species is unknown, having been described from the ground in 'Czechoslovakia' (Velenovský 1939).
Population and Trends
It is only known from the type description.
Population Trend: unknown
Habitat and Ecology
Cantharellus ludmilae has been found on the ground in dry pastures (Velenovský 1939, Petrak 1950, I. Olariaga Ibarguren
in litt. 2022), suggesting its natural habitat is grassland.
Threats
With the lack of available information, it is not possible to accurately assess any potential threats.
Conservation Actions
Confirmation is required of taxonomic status, population and distribution data and ecology to better assess the species.
