Justification
Since the description of Cantherellus hiemalis there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is limited information available for the species and with a lack of information on the habitat and ecology of the species, it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is likely that this is a synonym of Craterellus tubaeformis (I. Olariaga Ibarguren in litt. 2022).Geographic range
