Assessment Notes
Justification
This species is found in association with a variety of
Nothofagus species throughout Patagonia. It is not thought to be under significant threat and would not approach the thresholds for listing as threatened under any criterion. Therefore, it is listed as Least Concern.
Geographic range
This species is known from Patagonia, associated with
Nothofagus species.
Population and Trends
This species is common throughout Nothofagus forest in Patagonia, but fruiting bodies are not abundant.
Population Trend: stable
Habitat and Ecology
This species has been found associating with a variety of
Nothofagus species, as well as
Chusquea and mosses (D. Minter
in litt. 2020).
Threats
This species is not significantly threatened by any major threats at the moment.
Conservation Actions
This species has been recorded from several protected areas (e.g. Parque Nacional Lago Puelo, Messuti and Lorenzo 2014), and increasing awareness of this species within these areas would be beneficial.
Use and Trade
There is no recorded use or trade of this species.
