Assessment Notes
Justification
Since the description of
Cantherellus fechtneri there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is a lack of information on the habitats and ecology of the species, and it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is therefore assessed as Data Deficient.
Taxonomic notes
It is probably not a
Cantharellus and most probably not cantharelloid (I. Olariaga Ibarguren
in litt. 2022).
