Assessment Notes
The content on this page is fetched from The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species:
Justification
Since the description of
Cantherellus echinosporus there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is limited information available and with a lack of information on the habitat and ecology of the species, it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is therefore assessed as Data Deficient.
Taxonomic notes
It is not thought to be a
Cantharellus due to the globose aculeate spores (see Velenovský 1939) (I. Olariaga Ibarguren
in litt. 2022).
Geographic range
The exact range of this species is unknown, having been described as between moss in 'Czechoslovakia' (Velenovský 1939).

Population Trend: unknown
Habitat and Ecology
The type specimen was described as 'between moss' (Velenovský 1939), extent and type of habitat is unknown.

Conservation Actions
Confirmation is required of taxonomic status, population and distribution data and ecology to better assess the species.
