Justification
Since the description of Cantherellus cyatheus there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is limited information available about the species and with a lack of information on the habitat and ecology of the species, it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is therefore assessed as Data Deficient.Geographic range
The exact range of this species is unknown, having been described as occurring on the ground in 'Czechoslovakia' (Velenovský 1939).Population and Trends
