Assessment Notes

Preliminary assessment unable to access full type description.

Justification

Since the description of Cantherellus clitocybeformis there do not appear to be any subsequent records of the species. There is limited information available from the species listing and with a lack of information on the habitat and ecology of the species, it is not possible to assess the status of its population or distribution. It is therefore assessed as Data Deficient.

Taxonomic notes

Cantharellus clitocybeformis was described by Josef Velenovský in 1939 in Novitates Mycologicae and was listed by Petrak in 1950.

GBIF lists taxonomy as doubtful.
