Justification

Sclerodon sajanensis was described from Siberia in 1904 and there have been no more records or documentation on it since. A taxonomic review is needed and the species is assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Taxonomic notes

This is the only remaining species is the Sclerodon genus, as a result of the transfer of other species in this taxon to the genus Gloiodon.

Geographic range

This species has been recorded in Siberia (Karsten 1904).

Population and Trends

Sclerodon sajanensis has only been recorded once in 1902 (Karsten 1904). Since there is no more available information on this species, it is not possible to estimate the population size.

It was found growing on wood of leafy trees (Karsten 1904).
