Taxonomic notes

Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

A rust fungus associated with the vascular plant Colchicum autumnale. Appears to have a genuinely restricted distribution (host plant distribution is significantly larger). Populations in GB and Netherlands. Colchicum autumnale is found in wet meadows, which declined in Europe through drainage and agricultural intensification. In GB, the host plant has been actively removed from pastures because of perceived risk to cattle through poisoning.
