Mushroom, Bracket and PuffballStereum versicolor is easily recognized due to the large and spatulate basidiomata, with a soft and concentricallly zonate, velutinous tomentum in variable colours, smooth hymenophore, dimitic system, skeletocystidia and pseudoacanthocystidia presesent, and basidioposres cylindrical to narrowly ellipsoid, thin-walled, 5.5-8 x 2.3 um, smooth, amyloid (Ryvarden, 2010).
