Despite the wide distribution of the species in the tropics, it is rare everywhere. Requires protection due to the reduction the forest area with the participation of Fagaceae.


Geographic range

It is widespread in the tropics, but rare everywhere. In Vietnam, it is known from one point in the Chu Yang Sin National Park.
It is known from Indonesia (Boedijn, 1960), China (Wu et al., 2016), Malaysia (Corner, 1972), Vietnam (Pham, 2018).


Population and Trends

The species is destributed in 4 countries. In Vietnam is known from one locality. Was not founded last 7 years.

Population Trend: Decreasing


Habitat and Ecology

It grows scattered on soil in forests dominated by Fagaceae and in mountain polydominant tropical forests with the participation of Fagaceae, Magnoliaceae, Theaceae, Podocarpaceae.
