Taxonomic notes

When described in 2013, the species showed sterile cultures. Diaporthe inconspicua differs from its closest phylogenetic neighbors in that it has unique fixed alleles in four loci (Gomes et al., 2013).


Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

It is not a common species, presenting about three occurrences in the world. Studies in other locations are needed to understand its distribution. I suggest including it in deficient data.
