Cup-fungi, Truffles and AlliesIsolates belonging to C. chrysophilum initially presented colonies in white to light gray and progressively turned to dark grey in the enter covered with predominantly black acervuli, producing orange conidial masses with longer incubation time.
Due to the little information on the occurrence of this species, I suggest including it as insufficient data (DD).
Although not registered in GBIF it was identified in cocoa and genipa (Genipa americana; Panama), fern (Terpsichore taxifolia; Puerto Rico), avocado (Israel), peach (South Carolina) and banana (Brazil).
