Mushroom, Bracket and PuffballCoriolopsis floccosa (Jungh.) Ryvarden is an American species with yellowish effuse-reflexed basidiomata, brown color of the context , trimitic hyphal system is trimitic and cylindrical, smooth, thin-walled, non-amyloid, oblong−ellipsoid, and hyaline to pale brown basidiospores (Ryvarden, 1991; Ryvarden & Gilbertson, 1993, (Saparrat et al., 2014).
The species is known in 34 countries and is mostly reported in Brazil and Mexico. Reports in Africa may represent C. floccosa.

Population Trend:
American species. In Brazil, it is found in Amazonia and Atlantic Forest.
The species is well distributed in Brazil, present in pluvial forest domain. However, the Amazon has currently the highest rates of deforestation in the last decades and the Atlantic Forest is a hotspot.
About 1/3 of the records in Brazil are in unprotected areas.
