This is the 2nd fungal conservation workshop in Southeast Asia focused on assessing the conservation status of S.E. Asian macrofungi. The workshop aims to build capacity as well as complete red list assessments of a 30-40 species unique to the region. Nominations of species to be assessed are being made by mycologists throughout the region. A team representing a number of S.E. Asian countries will participate in the workshop; the participant list will be finalized closer to the workshop date. The workshop is supported by the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, IUCN Red List Unit and Chicago Botanic Garden. It is being facilitated by Olivier Raspé with input from Gregory Mueller and Andrew Ngadin. The species assessments will be finalized during the workshop 13-16 July 2021 by contributing mycologists.
