The genus Hemibeltrania was proposed by Pirozynski (1963) to accommodate two species, Hansfordia cinnamomi Deighton and Mammaria nectandrae Bat. & Maia. Straight or flexuous setae, simple, erect, cylindrical, smooth. Conidiophores macronematous, mononematous, grouped, straight to slightly flexuous, simple or branched, smooth. Conidiogenic cells, polyblastic, terminal, integrated, sympodial, cylindrical, smooth. Conidia holoblastic, solitary, schizolytic, 0-sept, navicular to spindle-shaped, simple, dry, smooth, subhyaline (Castañeda-Ruiz; Kendrick, 1991).

Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

The study of conidial fungi in various environments and countries can help expand knowledge of the diversity of this group, as well as find conservation measures for them.
