Assessment Notes

Taxonomic notes

Porogramme albocincta is characterized by a dark bluish hymenial surface when old and blue-grayish when young, very small pores (8–10 per mm), and broadly ellipsoid basidiospores (3.75–6.25 3 2.5–3.75 mm). Furthermore, the fungus reddens the substrate. Tinctoporellus epimiltinus (Berk. & Broome) Ryvarden also reddens the substrate; however, it is a true polypore with distinct poroid surface and a more reddish-buff color (Soares et al. 2015).
